Opening of Peacehaven show home

The first step in a major redevelopment of Peacehaven Retirement Village has been realised with the opening of the show home on Tuesday (Dec 16).
Presbyterian Support Southland (PSS) chief executive Matt Russell said the completion of the show home was an exciting first step of the retirement village’s transformation.
The event was marked with an official opening attended by staff, board members and existing Peacehaven village residents.
“For Enliven Southland, the redevelopment reinforces an ongoing commitment to supporting older people in Southland across their spectrum of needs.
“This commitment to care is at the core of what we do, so it was a pleasure to be able to celebrate this milestone alongside our village residents.
The redevelopment of the Peacehaven retirement village involves constructing 38 stylish and modern Occupation Right Agreement (ORA) units and a residents’ lodge over multiple stages. The entire project is expected to take up to five years to complete.
Stage 1a kicked off in June this year in which 13 units will be built including a mix of standalone and duplex options. The first six villas are expected to be ready by May 2026, and the remaining villas ready by July 2026.
The show home will be opened in the New Year for both regular open days and private viewings conducted by the Bayleys Southland team. Enliven Southland will also be getting in touch with local community groups to arrange group tours.
