Help make a big difference in someone’s life.

No matter what your skills or talents, we are bound to have an interesting volunteer opportunity for you. Whether you only have a few hours to give, or can assist on a more regular basis, there’s something you can do to lend a hand in your community.

Currently, there are opportunities to assist in the following areas:

Buddy Programme

The Buddy Programme contributes to the emotional and social wellbeing of children by matching them with carefully selected and trained adult volunteers in a well-supported mentoring relationship.

Foster Care

Family Works provides foster care for children and young people (0-18 years) for a planned period when parents/caregivers or extended family members are not able to look after them.

Children and young people may need to be cared for away from their home for many reasons, but in all cases, there are issues relating to their care and protection, such as family stress, family crisis, family illness, parenting issues, violence and lack of family supports.

SupportLink

SupportLink is a free service for older people living in their own home who may need some additional support to remain independent.

For many older people SupportLink makes the difference between coping with day-to-day living at home and having to move into a residential care home.

Our volunteers range in age and come from all walks of life. They are dedicated individuals who are there to offer support.
