Cutting edge investment for Vickery Court

A challenge has been laid down to residents and staff of Vickery Court. They have been tasked with naming the care home’s newest acquisitions – three Husqvarna Aspire R4 Automowers.
Will it be Sir Lawnsalot? Grasshopper? Lawn Ranger? Or perhaps Lawn and Order?
Okay, admittedly those are terrible names. No doubt the team at Vickery Court will do much better.
The three cordless robotic lawn mowers have been purchased as part of upgrades to the care home’s courtyards.
Presbyterian Support Southland (PSS) maintenance and projects team leader Nathan McKenzie said the robotic lawn mowers eliminated the need for the gardening team to carry a heavy mower in to mow the courtyards manually.
“The robotic mowers are a more practical option than removing 50 tonnes of grass and dirt and carrying in machinery into an area that has only internal access.”
They run on an automatic schedule, mowing from 8am-6pm everyday, and automatically heading back to their docking station to charge as required.
They are also easy to operate, with the maintenance team able to monitor the mowers’ progress and be alerted to any problems via a smartphone app.
