Kylie Boniface - housekeeping supervisor

The homely, family feel of Vickery Court was a drawcard for housekeeping supervisor Kylie Boniface.

Kylie started working at the care home in January last year.

“As soon as I walked in it felt like home.”

Kylie is responsible for overseeing the housekeeping department and managing a team of nine.

As part of the role, she addresses any resident issues that may arise, liaises with suppliers and trains staff.

Management had given her the autonomy to make the job her own and had always been supportive of ideas for how to improve the service, she said.

“I love my job.

“I enjoy our team helping in any way that we can, even if it is just talking to the residents.”

It was also the connection with the residents she enjoyed.

“I just love the residents.  You get to know them well.”

Enliven was a good organisation to work for, she said.

“It feels like you are doing something good.

“I have worked at other care homes that were all about the money.  Whereas this care home is about the residents. It’s the whole family vibe of the place.”
