Latasha Reriti - registered nurse

New graduate registered nurse Latasha Reriti joined Presbyterian Support Southland (PSS) around 10 months ago and has quickly become a valued member of the team at Peacehaven Village care home.

In her role, Latasha is responsible for supporting residents' medical needs, including administering medications, taking observations and dressing wounds. While the clinical side of nursing is important, it is the relationships she has built that she enjoys most.

"What I enjoy most is getting to know the residents," Latasha said. "Many of them have interesting stories to share."

She has also enjoyed working alongside colleagues from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures, learning from their experiences and perspectives.

Latasha describes the Peacehaven team as supportive and collaborative, with everyone focused on achieving the best outcomes for residents.

"The staff are a great team, and we all work together for the residents."

For those considering a nursing career with PSS, Latasha has no hesitation in recommending the organisation.

"We get great support from management and staff," she said. "It also offers flexible working conditions, with a variety of shifts available."
