All new clients to Family Works receive an active service from the time they are referred. They are assisted and supported to find the best service to fit their needs. This can be either from inside Family Works or externally, or a combination of both, if this is what works best for them.
This service provides support to clients during a broad assessment to determine their needs and how best to meet them, as well as while they are awaiting further service. Areas covered under the Dedicated Intake Service include social work support, counselling, group parenting programmes and the Buddy Programme.
The Dedicated Intake Service covers the wider Southland area.
