SupportLink
At Enliven we encourage older people to remain independent. If you would like to help older people living in their own home and give them some extra support, then SupportLink could be the ideal volunteer opportunity for you.
SupportLink matches trained volunteers with older people living in their own home to help them maintain their independence. Types of assistance you could help with include regular friendship and companionship or assisting with regular coffee clubs. It could also be to assist with providing a temporary break for a spouse, partner or caregiver who is primarily caring for an older person.
Contact your local co-ordinator for more information on how you can help, what training and support is provided and where we currently need assistance.
Volunteers help older people living in our care homes in a variety of ways. They provide the extra personal touches which make people feel connected and bring that little bit of extra joy to their day.
As a volunteer you may be able to provide some form of entertainment, craft activities or van driving, or help with newspaper readings, bible studies, painting or woodwork. There are many possibilities and, if you have a special skill or can offer your time, it all goes a long way to enriching the lives of our residents.
