Over the past year we worked alongside and supported 3,594 people in Southland both young and old.
Now more than ever, families are requiring much more lengthy involvement and more often than not families are needing to access more than one of our services.
There are multiple layers of issues for families and elderly and mental health unwellness continues to be prevalent within a high number of our people that we support. Families continue to present in crisis or with an immediate need for support, especially with extra pressures that have been bought on by the global pandemic.
Over the past year staff have continued to work with families and elderly where a lack of affordable warm houses and lack of mental health support for children, teenagers and adults has been identified.
Every contribution, big or small helps people, both young and old, in need across Southland.
Unemployment, poverty, family disputes, mental illness, loneliness, social isolation and social disadvantage are just some of the issues we see people trying to cope with in our local community every day. Your support will reassure them that they are not alone in this.
There are many ways you can give and we really appreciate any gift. Your gift means that our clients, who really need support are able to access our social services, visiting services and programmes free of charge.
No matter how large or small, every donation counts, is used locally and is greatly appreciated.
Let's make a difference together.
