A centrally located home with 31 rest home beds, Walmsley House is ideally located on a quiet street close to the Sylvan Bank shops and city bus routes. Those living here enjoy bright, good sized bedrooms and living areas with many seating areas, and a lovely sunny conservatory for residents and families to enjoy.
Walmsley House has access to the support of a number of Enliven staff, including a Registered Nurse on call and physiotherapist. The physiotherapist visits often and assesses residents for mobility and falls prevention. All care staff undertake ongoing training and development.
With a dedicated Activities Coordinator on site, Walmsley House offers a varied and interesting quality of life/wellbeing programme for residents. Some of the activities include arts and craft, bowls, gardening, local entertainers, indoor games as well as outings, and attendance at special events. Walmsley has its own van with hoist capability. There is a small library on site and the city’s Public Library books are also available and regularly updated.
Church services are held regularly and a cultural advisor is available to make further spiritual and community links.
With a friendly and dedicated team of staff across the home, Walmsley House maintains a family atmosphere and ensures the best possible individualised care.
