Maintenance Team Member - Frankton Court (Casual)

The Role:

Frankton Court is a retirement village which consists of 18 modern self-contained cottages and is located in close proximity to the Frankton Shopping Centre, Golf Course and Queenstown International Airport.

The Maintenance Team Member - Frankton Court is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the overall maintenance programme at Frankton Court.

Key responsibilities:

  • Implement maintenance programme ensuring all work is carried out within prescribed time scale and budget
  • Provide caretaking and maintenance services to the land, buildings, plant and equipment of Frankton Court Village
  • Keeping accurate records of work completed
  • Ensuring all work undertaken meets all compliance requirements e.g. Health and Safety Act
  • Undertaking emergency maintenance at the direction of the Manager

What you will need to be successful:

  • Ability to undertake minor handyman jobs e.g. changing of tap washers, clearing drains, painting etc
  • Experience in building a related trades preferred
  • Ability to investigate maintenance problems and establish whether to repair or manage repair thorough the use of Maintenance Contractors
  • Ability to build relationships with residents, key staff and Maintenance Contractors
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Full current drivers licence
