Clinical Co-ordinator, Enliven Peacehaven Village

Presbyterian Support Southland (PSS) is a Charitable Trust and is the largest social service and aged care provider in Southland. PSS encompasses two service arms – Family Works, which offers a range of social services, from counselling and social work support, through to buddy and parenting programmes, and Enliven, which provides a range of services for our elderly. We work to enable a positive and lasting change for everyone in our community and offer support services to people regardless of their beliefs, ethnicity or background.

Peacehaven Village is situated on Tweed Street near the centre of Invercargill and provides a range of care options for the elderly in our community from self-contained units to hospital care.

About the role:

We are looking for a Clinical Coordinator to join our team at Enliven Peacehaven Village to provide focus on quality improvement and clinical excellence.

Key responsibilities:

This role will include a range of tasks including but not limited to:

  • Assisting the Clinical Manager in the oversight of clinical service provision and the delivery of day to day clinical work in our aged care facility
  • Oversee and support our team of registered nurses and care workers, providing guidance and direction to deliver the highest standards of clinical care
  • Ensure the Care Planning process and Inter RAI assessments are completed to a high quality standard.
  • Oversee infection control protocols ensuring these are strictly followed in all areas.
  • Promoting excellence in care, using a person centred approachEnsuring an enabling team culture that puts the resident at the centre of everything that we do 
  • Actively participating in quality and risk management and in the implementation of quality improvement initiatives
  • Communicating effectively with residents and their families

What you will need to be successful in the role:

  • Current APC
  • Pride and commitment to delivering exceptional nursing care in a residential aged care context
  • Experience working as a Clinical Lead or Clinical Manager preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to provide leadership
  • Excellent relationship building skills
