What the role will involve

The key responsibilities of a Registered Nurse at PSS includes:

  • working alongside dedicated and experienced RNs, ENs and Health Care Assistants
  • planning, implementing, evaluating ‘resident focused’ care for residents
  • providing a safe and comfortable environment for all residents
  • complying with all legislative and clinical best practice guidelines, ensuring accurate documentation at all stages

What you will need to be successful in the role

  • Knowledge and understanding of older persons health needs
  • A current New Zealand Annual Practicing Certificate (qualified Registered Nurses who need to complete the CAPs programme will be considered)
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Flexibility to work rostered shifts
