Maintenance Team Member - Gore

Presbyterian Support Southland (PSS) is a Charitable Trust and is the largest social service and aged care provider in Southland. PSS encompasses two service arms – Family Works, which offers a range of social services, from counselling and social work support, through to buddy and parenting programmes, and Enliven, which provides a range of services for our elderly. About the role:

The Maintenance Worker is responsible for the overall maintenance and care taking services as directed by the Property and Procurement Manager. This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday based at our Enliven Resthaven Village.  Flexibility will be required to enable cover for the wider Maintenance team.

Key responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of this role will include:

• Providing building and maintenance service for our Enliven’s facilities.
• Keeping accurate records of work completed and meeting all compliance requirements e.g. Health and Safety Act
• Monitoring the Building Warrant of Fitness Compliance Manual checks including programmed and emergency maintenance
• Ensuring all work is carried out within agreed timeline and budget.

What you will need to be successful in the role:

• A full New Zealand drivers licence
• Minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role
• Project Management experience
• Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external clients
• Ability to prioritise workload
• A Trade Qualification preferred but not essential
