Administrator - Peacehaven Village (Invercargill)

Presbyterian Support Southland (PSS) is a Charitable Trust and is the largest social service and aged care provider in Southland. PSS encompasses two service arms – Family Works, which offers a range of social services, from counselling and social work support, through to buddy and parenting programmes, and Enliven, which provides a range of services for our elderly. We work to enable a positive and lasting change for everyone in our community and offer support services to people regardless of their beliefs ethnicity or background.

The Administrator role is located at our Peacehaven Village on Tweed Street. Peacehaven Village provides a range of care options for the elderly in our community from self-contained units to hospital care.

Mō te tūraka | About the role:

We are looking for a warm, friendly and confident Administrator to join our dynamic team here at Peacehaven Village.

This is a permanent part -time position working 8.00am to 4.30pm on a four days on/four days off roster covering seven days a week.

Ngā kawenga | Key Responsibilities:

As our Administrator you will be responsible for:

 

  • Greeting visitors and handling all incoming calls in a professional and friendly manner
  • Oversight and management of the staff roster
  • Accurate and efficient typing services, including report writing at the direction of the Manager.
  • Cash handling and banking
  • Supporting the manager with HR administrative tasks including orientations as and when required.

  • Ability to provide a warm and welcoming environment for our residents, visitors and your colleagues
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in an administrative position
  • To be able to demonstrate your experience with Word, Excel and other Microsoft Office products
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Have a positive attitude and be able to work within a team.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
