Housekeeper - Peacehaven Village

Peacehaven Village is situated on Tweed Street near the centre of Invercargill and provides a range of care options for the elderly in our community from self-contained units to hospital care.


About the role:

We are seeking a Housekeeper to assist with our independent living accommodation and amenities at Peacehaven Village on a part time permanent basis.

The role is a minimum of eighteen (18) hours per fortnight currently worked Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.  Flexibility around days of work is available for the right candidate and additional hours may be required from time-to-time following unit turnovers and to accommodate spring cleaning requests.


Key tasks:

All cleaning undertaken by the Housekeeper is to be to a high standard and in a timely manner. Key tasks include:

  • Regularly cleaning Anderson Hall, office and laundry to ensure we have a clean and safe environment for our residents and employees.
  • Cleaning Townhouses and Cottages as and when required by residents and in between residents.
  • Undertaking one off spring cleans as and when required by residents
  • Contribute to the regular cleaning of Elm Café on a rostered basis.


What you will need to be successful in the role:

  • A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role preferred
  • Physically fit
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Understanding of health and safety requirements in the workplace.
