Kitchenhand/Elms Cafe roles - Peacehaven Village

Enliven, as part of Presbyterian Support Southland is one of the largest providers of Residential Aged Care Services in the South. Our Vision is a community where all people can make the most of their strengths and feel included, valued and safe.

Our Enliven service philosophy is that some things make for happier, healthier living, no matter what your age or ability. We work to enable a positive and lasting change for everyone in our community and offer support services to people regardless of their beliefs, ethnicity or background.

We have two part-time positions currently available at our Peacehaven Village in Invercargill.

Elms Café – 18 hours - Friday to Sunday inclusive

This role is public-facing, providing a welcoming space for our residents and their families to enjoy time together.   The role involves making coffees, doing basic food prep, and some baking.

We are looking for someone with excellent customer service skills, able to work unsupervised, and able to multi-task and prioritise duties.

From time to time, the job holder will be asked to do additional shifts in the main kitchen, to cover shifts when staff are on leave, so some flexibility on hours and duties to be performed is required.

Kitchenhand – 21 hours  – Main kitchen

We have two main shifts:

  • mornings from 5.30 am – 2.00 pm, and
  • afternoons from 2.15 pm – 10.00 pm.

The role will be on a roster, potentially working any day of the week, including weekends.  However we can accommodate which shift works best for you.

We need you to be calm, organised, a hard worker who is able to work at pace, and to follow directions, and also to work unsupervised.  Successful applicants would have the ability to work additional shifts to replace staff absences.

If you are an experienced Kitchenhand, or have worked in a similar role and/or are interested in being part of a great team, in a fast-paced work environment, then we would love to hear from you.
