Builder/Handyman Maintenance team member

About the role:

These roles are responsible for the building and maintenance services, as part of the wider maintenance team, for all Presbyterian Support Southland Properties. Key tasks include:

  • Providing building and maintenance service for our Enliven’s facilities.
  • Keeping accurate records of work completed and meeting all compliance requirements e.g. Health and Safety Act.
  • Monitoring the Building Warrant of Fitness Compliance Manual checks including programmed and emergency maintenance.
  • Ensuring all work is carried out within agreed timeline and budget.


What you will need to be successful in this role:

  • A full New Zealand drivers licence.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Ability to prioritise workload.
  • A Trade Qualification in Building is a requirement for the Builder/Handyman role.
  • A Trade Qualification preferred for the Maintenance team member role but not essential.
