Family Works Southland is recruiting staff to support essential work in our community. We can make a real difference together.
For 100 years Family Works Southland has responded to the needs of the Southland community. Most recently, our community has faced the COVID-19 pandemic.
Our experienced frontline staff, including Social Workers, Family Whanau workers, Programme Facilitators, Coordinators, volunteers and Management have worked throughout lockdown to respond to families in need.
They truly are our heroes - and we need more.
Unlike many other sectors facing job losses, we are actively recruiting staff and can offer job security and great support.
We need people with empathy, patience and a love of working with people. You will also need to have an appropriate qualification in social services, health, education or a related field. We may also consider applicants close to completing a relevant qualification.
Our heroes all have one thing in common, they want to make a real, positive difference in our community.
We are currently looking for a Buddy Programme Coordinator for up to 30 hours per week on a permanent basis.
