Volunteer Information Evening

Join us and find out what it means to be a Family Works or Enliven volunteer.

This is your chance to give back to your local community.

We need volunteers to help us in the following areas:

SupportLink matches volunteers with elderly people living in the community. It’s about providing companionship, and makes a real difference in the lives of those living independently.

Enliven volunteers support elderly people living within a rest home environment through a range of activities such as reading the newspapers, driving vans on outings or simply visiting residents for a chat and some company.

Big Buddies

The Buddy Programme matches adult volunteers with a children aged between 4 and 12 years who could do with additional adult support. It’s about spending time with a child or young person, having fun and having a stable, supportive and positive impact on the life of that child or young person.

Foster Carers

Foster Care can be at any level – respite, mid or long-term care – and is about offering care to a child or young person and helping them to reach their potential. Foster carers make a real and lasting difference in the lives of children and young people.

If you are thinking about volunteering but would like to find out more, come along to our information evening and hear from staff and volunteers.
